Description

Delight in these Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon Rolls, a luscious twist on classic cinnamon rolls featuring a creamy cheesecake layer and fresh strawberry filling. Perfect as a comforting breakfast or a decadent dessert, each roll is baked to golden perfection and topped with a sweet glaze and optional fresh strawberries for an extra burst of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberry Filling

  • 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Main

  • 1 package (13.9 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk

Optional

  • Extra strawberries for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish to prevent the rolls from sticking.
  2. Make Strawberry Mixture: In a small bowl, toss the diced strawberries with cornstarch and water until all pieces are evenly coated. Set this mixture aside to thicken slightly as you prepare the other ingredients.
  3. Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese together with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until you achieve a smooth, creamy consistency that is easy to spread.
  4. Assemble Rolls: Unroll each cinnamon roll carefully to form a flat strip. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture evenly along the surface, then spoon some of the strawberry mixture over it. Roll the strip back up tightly and place each roll into the prepared baking dish. Repeat this process for all cinnamon rolls.
  5. Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake the rolls for 22 to 25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked through.
  6. Prepare Glaze: While the rolls bake, combine powdered sugar with 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk in a small bowl to create a smooth glaze.
  7. Finish and Serve: When baking is complete, allow the rolls to cool slightly. Drizzle the included cinnamon roll icing along with the homemade powdered sugar glaze over the warm rolls. If desired, garnish with additional fresh strawberries before serving.

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, add white chocolate chips inside the rolls before baking.
  • Frozen strawberries can be substituted if fresh ones are unavailable; thaw and drain them thoroughly before using.
  • These rolls are best enjoyed warm, straight from the oven for optimal flavor and texture.
