Description

Deliciously decadent Strawberry Cheesecake Brownies featuring a rich fudge brownie base swirled with creamy cheesecake and sweet strawberry jam, topped with fresh strawberries for a fruity finish. Perfect for dessert lovers looking for a delightful marbled treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 box (18–19 oz) fudge brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as directed on the box)
  • Nonstick spray for pan

Cheesecake Swirl

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Strawberry Topping

  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan and Brownie Batter: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking pan with nonstick spray. Following the package instructions, prepare the fudge brownie batter and pour it evenly into the prepared pan.
  2. Make Cheesecake Mixture: In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy without lumps.
  3. Layer Cheesecake and Strawberry Jam: Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the brownie batter. Add small spoonfuls of strawberry jam between the cream cheese drops to create pockets of fruity flavor.
  4. Swirl Mixtures: Using a knife, gently swirl the cream cheese mixture and strawberry jam into the brownie batter to create a beautiful marbled effect throughout the pan. If desired, sprinkle the chopped fresh strawberries evenly on top for additional texture and flavor.
  5. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35–40 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs attached.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan. For best results, chill in the refrigerator for a few hours to set the cheesecake layer before slicing into 16 squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a more pronounced strawberry flavor, substitute plain cream cheese with strawberry cream cheese.
  • Chilling the brownies for a few hours before serving helps the cheesecake swirl set nicely and makes slicing easier.
  • Store the brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
