Ingredients
Scale
Slider Assembly
- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 12 slices provolone cheese (or your favorite cheese)
Butter Mixture
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Au Jus
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and prepare for baking the sliders.
- Prepare the Au Jus: Follow the packet instructions to whisk the au jus gravy mix with 1 cup of water over medium heat until the mixture thickens. Keep the au jus warm for serving alongside the sliders.
- Assemble the Sliders: Carefully slice each slider bun in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish, then layer the thinly sliced roast beef evenly on top, followed by a slice of provolone cheese on each sandwich. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese and beef layers.
- Make the Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and chopped fresh parsley if using. Whisk until well blended, then generously brush this mixture over the tops of all the slider buns to infuse them with rich flavor and help achieve a golden crust.
- Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes to allow the cheese to melt and flavors to meld. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until the tops of the buns are golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and slice them apart carefully. Serve immediately while hot, accompanied by warm au jus gravy for dipping each sandwich, enhancing every bite with savory richness.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms inside the sliders before baking.
- Use Hawaiian rolls for a slightly sweeter slider or classic slider buns for a more traditional taste.
- If you prefer a spicier topping, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the butter mixture.
- Prepare the au jus ahead of time and keep warm to streamline the serving process.
- These sliders are perfect for parties and can easily be doubled or tripled for larger gatherings.
