Pizza Cupcakes Ingredients
- 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls (seamless sheet preferred)
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Pizza toppings (such as pepperoni, ham, sausage, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms) – quantity as desired
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC) to prepare for baking the pizza cupcakes.
- Prepare muffin cups and dough: Spray 8 regular-sized muffin cups with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Cut the crescent roll dough into 8 equal squares, then press each square firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the muffin cups to form a crust.
- Assemble pizza cupcakes: Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese into the bottom of each dough-lined muffin cup. Spoon 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce over the cheese in each cup. Add the remaining cheese on top, followed by your choice of pizza toppings. Finally, sprinkle ½ teaspoon garlic powder evenly over each to enhance flavor.
- Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Carefully remove the pizza cupcakes from the muffin cups once slightly cooled and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- For best results, use a seamless crescent roll dough sheet to prevent holes in the crust.
- Customize toppings to your preference; vegetables or meats can be added according to taste.
- Use cooking spray liberally to ensure easy removal from muffin tin.
- These pizza cupcakes are best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes.
