Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Seasoning
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or flank steak), sliced into thin strips
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
Main Dish
- 1 lb cheese ravioli (fresh or frozen)
Garnish (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the thinly sliced steak strips with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to evenly coat.
- Cook the Steak: Add the seasoned steak strips to the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked through. Remove the cooked steak from the skillet and set aside to prevent overcooking.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter melts, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden, taking care not to burn the garlic.
- Cook the Ravioli: Add the cheese ravioli to the skillet with the garlic butter. Cook fresh ravioli for approximately 3-4 minutes, or frozen ravioli for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the ravioli is coated in the garlic butter sauce and heated through.
- Combine Steak and Ravioli: Return the cooked steak strips to the skillet. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and gently stir everything to combine, ensuring the steak and ravioli are evenly coated with the rich garlic butter sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately while hot for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- You can substitute sirloin or flank steak with any quick-cooking steak you prefer.
- Adjust seasoning to taste, especially salt and pepper.
- If using frozen ravioli, ensure not to thaw before cooking to avoid sogginess.
- To keep the dish gluten-free, verify that the ravioli used is made from gluten-free ingredients.
- Fresh parsley and Parmesan enhance the flavor but can be omitted for a dairy-free or vegan variation (using dairy-free substitutes).
