Ingredients
Scale
Fruits
- 2 ripe kiwis, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
Dairy & Liquids
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt
- 1/2 cup orange juice (or almond milk for a dairy-free option)
Sweeteners & Extras
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker consistency)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fruit: Peel and chop the kiwis. If using fresh strawberries, remove the stems and halve them to ensure easy blending.
- Blend the Ingredients: Add the chopped kiwi, strawberries, Greek yogurt, orange juice, and honey (if using) into a blender. Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, making sure all fruits and yogurt are fully combined.
- Adjust Consistency: Check the thickness of the smoothie. If it is too thick, gradually add more orange juice or almond milk and blend again until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Add Ice (Optional): For a colder and thicker smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes to the blender and blend once more until the ice is crushed and fully incorporated.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into serving glasses and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use frozen strawberries if fresh ones are out of season for a thicker smoothie.
- Replace Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt to make it dairy-free and vegan.
- Adjust sweetness based on your preference by adding more or less honey or maple syrup.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the freshest taste and prevent separation.
