Ingredients
Scale
Meat and Seasoning
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (approx. 1 oz)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetables and Dairy
- 1 can (15 oz) corn kernels, drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Pasta
- 1 box (12 oz) bowtie pasta
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the casserole later.
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Combine Ingredients: Stir the ranch seasoning mix into the browned beef, then add the drained corn and cooked pasta. Pour in the melted butter, sprinkle the garlic powder, and add the sour cream. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the beef and pasta mixture into a casserole dish. Evenly top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese on top is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
- Serve & Enjoy: Remove the casserole from the oven, let it cool slightly, then serve hot for a creamy, hearty meal.
Notes
- Use whole grain or gluten-free pasta if desired to alter the dish’s nutritional profile.
- For extra flavor, add chopped green onions or diced bell peppers to the beef mixture.
- If you prefer less dairy, reduce the sour cream or use a lower-fat alternative.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
