Description

Fiery Chicken Ramen with Creamy Garlic Sauce is a bold and flavorful Asian-inspired main course featuring tender, spiced chicken breast slices tossed with perfectly cooked ramen noodles coated in a rich and creamy garlic Parmesan sauce, finished with a spicy kick from sriracha and topped with fresh green onions, red pepper flakes, and toasted sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale

Ramen and Chicken

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning)
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)

Garnish

  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Red pepper flakes, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the ramen noodles: Bring a medium pot of water to a boil and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, discarding the seasoning packets. Once cooked, drain the noodles and set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken: In a bowl, toss the sliced chicken breasts with chili powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to evenly coat. This seasoning mix will give the chicken its fiery flavor.
  3. Cook the chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken slices and cook until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Make the creamy garlic sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the flour and cook for an additional minute to create a roux. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and sriracha sauce, then let the sauce simmer and thicken for 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Combine noodles, chicken, and sauce: Return the cooked noodles and chicken to the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together to ensure the noodles and chicken are evenly coated in the creamy garlic sauce. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove the skillet from heat and top the dish with sliced green onions, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, and sesame seeds. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of cayenne pepper and sriracha according to your heat preference.
  • For a richer flavor, substitute chicken thighs instead of breasts.
  • To make this dish vegetarian, replace chicken with tofu and use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
