Description

This Epic Stuffed Garlic Bread is a deliciously indulgent twist on a classic favorite. Made with a crusty ciabatta loaf loaded with a rich mixture of butter, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese, it delivers a perfect balance of bold flavors and creamy texture. Perfect as a side for Italian meals or a mouthwatering appetizer, this easy-to-make garlic bread will elevate any meal or snack time.

Ingredients

Scale

Bread

  • 1 large loaf Ciabatta bread

Stuffing

  • 4 – 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup room temperature butter, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the stuffed garlic bread.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture: In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped parsley, room temperature butter, olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, Parmesan cheese, and optional cayenne pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly blended into a flavorful spread.
  3. Cut the Bread: Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the ciabatta loaf lengthwise without cutting all the way through, creating a hinge. Then, make diagonal cuts inside the bread about 1 inch apart to allow the stuffing to penetrate deeply.
  4. Stuff the Bread: Generously spread the prepared garlic butter mixture between the cuts and over the top of the bread, ensuring the mixture is evenly distributed for maximum flavor.
  5. Wrap and Bake: Wrap the stuffed bread tightly in aluminum foil to keep moisture in and place it on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes to allow the butter to melt and the bread to become warm and aromatic.
  7. Unwrap and Crisp: After 25 minutes, carefully unwrap the foil and bake the bread for an additional 5-10 minutes until the crust is crisp and golden brown.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm as a delicious side or appetizer.

Notes

  • For extra cheesiness, add shredded mozzarella before baking.
  • Adjust garlic quantity to suit your taste preferences.
  • Use fresh parsley for the best flavor, but dried can be substituted in a pinch.
  • Wrap tightly in foil to avoid drying out during baking.
  • Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
