- Prepare Cauliflower: Cut or rip the cauliflower into 3-inch florets, making sure each piece has a flat side. This flat surface helps achieve a nicely browned and crispy crust during roasting.
- Season: In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower florets with 1/4 cup of olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper if using. Toss well to coat each piece evenly with the seasoning and oil.
- Prep Baking Sheet: Carefully remove the preheated baking sheet from the oven and drizzle the remaining 1/4 cup of olive oil onto it. Spread the cauliflower florets on the sheet with the flat sides down to maximize browning.
