Description

These Air Fryer Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are a quick, flavorful, and healthy appetizer or main dish featuring tender salmon cubes marinated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, then air fried to perfection with a slightly caramelized finish. Garnished with sesame seeds and green onions, they make an irresistible bite-sized treat that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon and Marinade

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Garnish

  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • Chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Salmon: Add the cubed salmon fillet to the marinade and gently toss to coat each piece. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a little oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Cook the Salmon Bites: Arrange the marinated salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 7 to 10 minutes, flipping the salmon halfway through the cooking time. The salmon should be tender, flaky, and slightly caramelized when done.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, transfer the salmon bites to a serving dish. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if using. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • If you prefer, substitute tamari for soy sauce to make the recipe gluten-free.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crisp edges.
  • Salmon cubes can be cooked to your preferred doneness; adjust timing slightly if you prefer less or more cooked salmon.
  • This recipe can be doubled but you may need to cook in batches depending on your air fryer size.
